The innisfree Pledge

Ingredient Standards

innisfree is about more than solutions for your best skin. We’re committed to never settling for the status quo when it comes to formulating our skincare. That’s why we use only top-tier, naturally derived key ingredients responsibly sourced from Korea’s Jeju Island. And it doesn’t stop there—have you heard about our Green Innovation Lab? It's our exclusive lab where we create game-changing formulas and packaging to deliver eco-friendly, cutting-edge results. That’s why innisfree’s your go-to for accessible, sustainable products that get you glowing without compromising quality.

innisfree-Clean Standards

innisfree-clean means that every product is formulated without parabens, phthalates, formaldehydes, triclosan, triclocarban, talc, SLS/SLES, gluten, coal tar, BHT, or other potentially unfavorable ingredients. It’s our commitment to keep our products innisfree-clean & safe and your skin as healthy as possible. We're always working to improve our formulas, using science- backed innovations to find better alternatives whenever we can. Many of our products are vegan, using no animal by-products whatsoever, and we’re officially certified cruelty-free by PETA!

Certifications

At innisfree, we're passionate about providing clean and effective skincare with fewer ingredients you don't want, such as parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. Transparency is key for us, and it's one of the reasons our products proudly carry Sephora’s Clean at Sephora certification. Additionally, many of our products are vegan, meaning we use no animal by- products. And guess what? We're officially certified cruelty-free by PETA. That means neither we nor our suppliers conduct or commission tests on animals for any of our ingredients, formulas, or finished products.

PLANET-FRIENDLY PRACTICES
Packaging

We're taking care of your skin and the planet by taking steps toward sustainability by incorporating recycled plastic and glass into our packaging. Additionally, ALL of our secondary (outer) packaging is made of FSC-certified paper (aka responsibly harvested wood fiber) and printed with soy ink. And that top-selling Green Tea Serum you love? It now has a refill option, with more refills coming to other products soon to cut down on packaging waste.

Eco-Recycle

We believe in hitting replay on resources, collecting and transforming used bottles into new packaging! Together, we can keep our skincare empties out of landfills.

As part of our eco-conscious movement, we encourage all to take part in these simple, sustainable solutions for package disposal. Start with your next empty—each one makes a difference!

Arbor Day

Our passion for forest preservation goes back to Korea’s Jeju Island, where we actively protect the Gotjawal Forest that’s key to maintaining the island’s unique ecosystem (including our favorite skincare ingredients). Our work doesn’t stop at Jeju—since 2012, we’ve planted a whopping 294,000+ trees globally, and support initiatives that protect forests everywhere our brand has put down roots. We’re excited to continue our reforestation efforts locally in the US, thanks to our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. Since we began in 2018, we've planted 42,000+ trees together and we're always looking to plant more!
